About the Concert
What is Music in Flight?

The London Pro Arte Orchestra, conducted by Murray Stewart, joins forces with the Northampton Bach Choir and mezzo-soprano soloist Kirsten Johansen to perform inspiring classics such as:

Polovtsian Dances (Borodin)

The Swan (Saint-Saëns)

Deep River (Rutter)

Crown Imperial (Walton)

Chanson de Matin (Elgar)

Spartacus (Khachaturian)

‘Rule Britannia!’ and many more of your classical favourites.

 

But what you hear is synchronised with some of the finest display flying from around the world.
You will see:

The Aerostars (6 YAK-50 aerobatic aircraft)

The Blades (4 Extra 300 aerobatic aircraft)

The RAF’s Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster)

K21 Glider

Royal Naval Sea Fury

North American Mustang

The Army’s Historic Aircraft Flight (Sioux, Alouette and Scout helicopters, Auster, Chipmunk and Beaver)

Hot Air Balloons

...and much much more including the return of 'The Bird Man' Christian Moullec

The concert ends with a night free fall parachute descent by the Red Devils and a massive firework display.
